In today’s world of commercial interiors, with the emphasis being on open flexible spaces, designers are recognising the opportunity that flooring presents. Whether it’s for wayfinding, differentiating zones, creating a bold statement or making work feel more like home, flooring has it all covered!
Use Colour & Pattern To Make Or Break Space How do you want the space to feel, more cosy or more spacious? If you want to make a small space feel larger avoid bold patterns and bright colours. It’s similar to when you tile a small bathroom, you stick to larger tiles with matching grout, thus reducing the amount of grout lines and visual clutter the eye recognises. Where possible, try to run the direction of the flooring towards an exit/entry point and along the length of a room (not the width) so your eye naturally travels to the adjacent space. The opposite applies, if you want the space to feel more cosy and intimate then break it up with the use of pattern and colour. In large open areas you may choose to only have portions of the space broken up with colour and texture to signify the different zones within the one space; walkways, work stations, casual seating etc. Put The Focus On Flooring With the huge range of brightly coloured carpet tiles on offer, there’s no excuse for boring spaces – even if you have a limited budget! Being the largest interior surfaces, the two things that will give you the biggest bang for buck are flooring and paint. You can completely transform a plain white room into ‘WOW’ by getting a little crazy with carpet. More Like Home Work spaces, with their strong focus on employee wellbeing and comfort, are becoming more like home and less like work. Designers are continuously looking for ways to push the boundary between residential and commercial design. Feature rugs made out of inset carpet tiles or broadloom, not only offer homeliness but differentiate zones of activity in open areas such as collaborative seating areas vs. walkways. Make a powerful and memorable statement by bordering bold and playful prints with neutral, more austere flooring. Perhaps this attention grabbing tactic could work in the entry area? That's right carpet tiles are very easy to acquire, just shop online and have it delivered righ to you. Also carpet tiles are affordable too, but not easy to wash unlike the usual carpet that you can wash directly. Specially when the carpet tiles is synthetic. But cleaning companies are your best friend when it comes to this.

This is a very reliable information. The arrangement of things will totally affect the perspective of your room (looks more spacious or not). That's why general cleaning or arranging of stuff is necessary before you plan to redesign your room. But when choosing the things you will put on your room, make sure they are easy to clean type to avoid future problems like stain.
